14 Flight

As well as my usual life, I have a double life. I am a member of the best flight in in the Western Australian Air training Corps. That being..Number Fourteen Flight, Leederville. We have proved that we are the best flight by winning the Drill Squad Award, the Cheer Squad Award, the Aircraft Recognition Award and the Overall Award. That's four out of five, and you don't beat that!

14 FLT is based at Leederville, which is the headquarters of WA AirTC, and shares the facilities with 6 flight. 14 FLT parades on a friday between 1830 and 2200 hrs (6:30 to 10pm). We have an average of 50 cadets parading each night. If your interested in joining give us a call on 9444 0522 on a Friday night between 6:30 and 9:30pm, or turn up around 7pm at: 300 Vincent Street Leederville.

We've got four CUO's; CUO Harvey (our WOFF last year), CUO Jackson (AKA Action Jackson, or Jacko), CUO Male (you know her by the red hair...although it changes often), and CUO Wood who run the flight and organise camps and other great activities. One Warrent Officer, WOFF Wallis, commonly called Wally, although we aren't supposed ot. There are seven senior non-comminsioned officers (SNCO's); CDTFSGT Thompson, CDTSGT Hussey (me), CDTSGT Isaacson (well everyone knows Eve!), CDTSGT Martyn (that'd be Cathy), CDTSGT Munday (Nads, who'll proly be our WOFF next year), CDTSGT Paget(he's the other SGT in B FLT), and CDTSGT Stone (Tony's the one everyone drives round with, that says something cause there are tons of other drivers).

The flight's divided up into three flights, A FLT, B FLT, and guess what, C FLT. I'm the NCO in B flight, and Paget's the FSGT. He actually has the position to order me what to do, but we're the same rank so we're equal.
